Despite existing for 40 years, I’ve only very recently come to experience the whimsy and fun of The Decorative Fair.
Interior design and antiques feels like a separate entity from the world of fine art, yet the crossover is so strong. In fact, it’s the one place that truly brings all the different visual artforms together in one place, from fine paintings and ceramics to furniture, carpets, and fashion.
Overall, I enjoyed the experience of being surprised by weird and wonderful objects. It’s an incredibly relaxing fair, one that is extremely welcome in the lead up to far more intense fairs in the coming weeks.
These were my favourite stands this autumn edition:
Foster & Gane (stand D14)

Henry Miller Fine Art (stand A27)

Tom Constantine Gallery (stand C12)

Saunders Fine Art (stand E11)

Markies Antiques (stand C09)

Kiszely Fine Art (stand E26)

Florence Evans Fine Art (stand C20)

madeinbritaly (stand E09)
