Frieze London is back for another year, this time with a drastically different layout that puts younger and emerging galleries nearer to the entrance.

The result is refreshing – however, not by very much – and encourages exploration into the unknown. If I had to give a blanket description for some of the more memorable works, it would be whimsical.

These are the 10 highlights I think are worth checking out:

Sun Woo at Gallery Vacancy (stand F34)

Peter Uka at Mariane Ibrahim (stand AA5)

Enrico David, Untitled, 1998/99, wool on painted canvas (Michael Werner, stand B23)

Jesse Mockrin at James Cohan (stand C7)

Benedikte Bjerre at palace enterprise (stand F6)

Jaime Welsh at Galeria Madragoa (stand F33)

Emily Kraus at The Sunday Painter (stand B11)

Tau Lewis at Sadie Coles HQ (stand D11)

Kevin Francis Gray, Barbara, 2023, Calacatta Caldia marble and steel (Pace Gallery, stand D21)

Cinga Samson, Kuhlwile, 2024 (White Cube, stand D19)

Frieze London runs from 9 to 13 October 2024 at Regent’s Park, London, https://www.frieze.com/
